Job Role/Title: Cost Accountant
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Location: Awka, Anambra
Job Objective:
Responsible for the reduction of a company's financial waste and increasing profits. This includes determining actual costs of manufacturing or providing a service, scrutinizing associated company expenses, analyzing profitability and preparing the company budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
2. Anchors the Budget planning process and controls and periodic review of the annual budget in line with actual performance
3. Credit control and management
4. Conduct risk management
5. Overall Treasury control and management
6. Allocate resources and manage cash flows
7. Conduct profit and cost analyses
8. Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
9. Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
10. Recommend cost-reducing solutions
11. Development of policies and process control
12. Projects free cash positions and advise on optimal use of funds.
13. Prepare and present financial and statistical models, forecast and outlooks
14. Manage the preparation of the company's statutory and management account
15. Manage the preparation of IFRS compliant statutory and management reports.
Requirements:
1) B.Sc. Accounting
2) Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a similar role. Experience in agribusiness is an added advantage
3) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
4) ACA or ACCA certified
