JOB TITLE: Financial Accountant

Global Profilers is a Recruitment and HR services firm specialized in recruitment in Africa, We have an opening for the role of a Financial Accountant with agricultural dealings, to fill for our clients, an Agribusiness company.
Summary
Financial accountant main job responsibilities are focused on carrying out budgeting, managing tax payments and performing internal audits. You will act as a consultant for senior managers, conducting cost and revenues analyses. Supports financial decision-making information by collecting, investigating, and reporting financial data.
Responsibilities.
 Preparation of IFRS compliant financial reports
 Assist the financial controller in overseeing the company’s financial operations to ensure that they comply with internal and external policies and regulations
 Supervises the maintenance of fixed asset register and controls on Fixed asset
 Review and reconciliation of all account balances in the GL
 Review of Inventory account reconciliation
 Supervise the proper tracking of all payables (i.e. trade, regulatory and operational) and their set payment terms.
 Tax reporting (PAYE, CIT, VAT)
 Timely bank debt reconciliation and forensic review of all interest rates on CACs and other interest-bearing debt
 Assist in the administration and documentation of all salaries, wages, bonuses and deductions (payroll tax, social security) received by employees.
 Responsible for monitoring and auditing all employee-initiated expenses. Expenses can include travel, lodging, entertainment, and food.
 Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits
 Assist in analyzing and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve the system and financial performance
 Any other job that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements:
1) B.Sc. Accounting/Economics/Business Admin or other related courses
2) Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a similar role. Experience in agribusiness is an added advantage
3) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
4) ACA or ACCA certified
