The pedestrian bridge at MCC Upper Iweka is in a dangerous state now.

An eyewitness who spoke with news9naija recounts that a heavy duty vehicle rammed into one of the Pillars which led to the shifting of the bridge. The said driver sped off after the incident.

News9naija reports that this incident occurred on the 9th of September 2019. As at the time News9naija visited the scene, no action has been taken on the bridge as pedestrians still use it.

News9naija wish to bring this to the notice of the ANambra State government.

As a representative of the office responsible for managing and maintaining structures in that area, I wish to announce that the bridge is manageable. If it happens that it falls we hope no one gets hurt. Once it crashes, we will do something about it. Untill then, please keep praying that god will not let it fall.

I crossed there on Wednesday. Saying nothing is being done there is wrong cause I saw 3 white men with police escorts snapping pictures of the dislodged bridge

I think it should be closed until it is repaired

Thanks for the info, but as it stands now, there has not been any structural effect/change to the bridge since the incident happened.
Closing too is a good option.

The solution to Nigeria problems is secession (division). The country is too big for any individual to impose himself on her to be a president.

Enugu-Onitsha expressway is a federal road and Oshiomole campaigned with it when APC held massive rally in Owerri last year.

@OP you need to copy the commisioner for works in Awka, and thĂ nks for spreading it on social media.
