The drivers should know their terrain na. This is the only city that once it rains heavily, water overflows the gutters into the major roads. At times, I feel they don't have a functioning government. Not just that, leaving your house becomes a problem 'cause streets are flooded and you'd have to walk blindly in dirt to your house.

The land that the lord has spied on is the land that drinks the rain from heaven. There is no irrigation there. That is the promised land. Benin City, Africa . Pineapple, orange, mango, yam, tangerine, this land produces the best of the fruits in the world. The rain is always a blessing. I have been swimming in the rain for as long as I can remember and even right now, it is raining in Lagos and I am tempted to go and take a shower in the rain. Enjoy the blessing. I will personally go there to check this out.i won't deny the administration of Gowim Obaseki is trying it's best concerning the rehabilitation if roads and connecting routes in Benin city, but personally I think there's no need in fixing a road that gets bad the very next day, we need to do more supervisor as citizens and good people of this great state, call the attention of the government to stuff like ds. Thanks OP for bringing this to our attention. We need to hold these contractors and engineers more accointable for the jobs they do.

Which road rehabilitation?

Majority of the roads in Benin are not motorable. Even the ones rehabilitated is trash like this one op pasted

Thanks for your observation, but the truth is, you know nothing about Edo state.
If you are comparing Edo state to Lagos then you are more shallow with your observation because Edo was created in 1994.
Oshiomohole had raised the bar and we were expecting Obaseki to be like Fashola when he took over, but so far, he has performed way way below expectation.

Let me advise you, if you think nairaland is enough for you to form your observation then you have not really started.
