The Minister of Communications, Dr Isa Pantami, has warned that all those using or selling pre-registered SIM cards risk being arrested.

The minister also insisted that Wednesday's deactivation deadline for all improperly registered SIM cards still stands.

Pantami made this disclosure on Monday while officially commissioning the National Emergency Toll-Free Number (112) and the Commissioning of the Katsina State Emergency Communications Center, in Katsina.

The Minister stated that appropriate measures have been put in place to ensure that if a crime is committed using a SIM card, the perpetrator would be identified within 60 minutes.

Pantami said the agenda of the Federal Ministry of Communications was in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s, which, according to him, is built on three cardinal blueprints that involve fighting corruption, securing the lives and property of Nigerians and revitalizing the economy.

He revealed that the Emergency Communications Centers will be deployed across all the 36 States of Nigeria, with Ogun State next in line for the formal commissioning.

Important

Note the emergency number.

We've gone from 199 in the 1970s and '80s to 112.

112 is the national emergency number. Memorise it!

Don't look for someone who will solve all your problems. Look for someone who won't let you face them alone.

I have my two principal lines that I have been using since 2001 till date

The others are for browsing and i really don't care about the names on it. They are permanently inside modems. No one gonna receive calls or make calls using them anyway

Good day/sir
I'm a fresh graduate of University of Ilorin. My entire academic journey up till this level was sponsored. I do part time job during holidays to fend for my needs. Graduating list was recently released few days ago and slot for convocation fee payment has been made available. The total sum is 21k and I'm yet to get a job to make the payment. Convocation is 23rd of October. I can choose not to attend the convocation thereby not paying but the fee include money for transcript and certificate which cannot be paid separately. Kindly assist me as you deem fit. I pray God almighty continue to enrich your pocket.
Attached is a proof and more can be provided on request.
