Hello Mr. CarGuideng

It has come to my attention that you are telling our fellow Narialander s to avoid Free Comprehensive Report.
I find your statement quite hypocritical and unfounded unless you can back up your statement because all I see in your statement is a conflict of interest. There are a lot of parties here on NL that have offered free comprehensive report in the past as far as i am aware most notably

Unless you have unbiased views than to slander the efforts of these said parties, i think you should bottle it up and stop causing misdirection.
Let’s keep it civil. We are here to help our fellow brothers and sisters.

To all those who make use of Vehicle History Report:

I have to point out to NL’s about an interesting fact that has come to my attention. The word comprehensive as expressed in the dictionary means -----
"1) complete and including everything that is necessary
2) including everything that is necessary" which is ascribed to vehicle History reports should be in line with its definition. I say this because anyone getting a Vehicle history report shouldn't be receiving a report so cumbersome that would take forever to digest. A vehicle history report with more than 10 pdf pages can no longer be regarded as comprehensive, it’s too cumbersome. It is a report not a storybook.
From the top brass makers of this reports, who have taken their time to properly create a report that have passed the satisfactory test, here is a link to view the original report directly on their website

Autocheck----- Autocheck.com (Sample Report) https://www.autocheck.com/vehiclehistory/sample-vehicle-history-report
Carfax----- Carfax.com (Sample Report) https://www.carfax.com/phoenix/vehicle_history/SampleReport.cfx?reportName=oneOwnerCleanLateModel

The above is a direct link to the two giant companies that are the source of this report that we benefit from. Anything information contrary to what is on these website, has been tampered with and it is what we should really be careful of. As we can all see, there are no pictures attached to their reports. Any report given to you with pictures is generous on the part of seller and an extra effort on their part. An interesting fact is there are over 268 million vehicles registered in the United states as of 2016, as of 2018 there were over 40 million cars bought in the USA and the demand rises each year. One of the most common ways of cars get into Nigeria are through auction channels in the USA. We have big Auctions sites like Copart, IAAI and so on where Nigerians get their vehicles from. Vehicle Auction sites have the ability to capture all cars bought to the sites and tag the VIN to pictures they have captured. This is the reason why we have pictures for most cars in Nigeria.

Personally I don’t really see the value of VIN reports in Nigeria.

First, all you really have to do is to put the VIN in a browser and if the subject is a junkyard queen then it’ll populate.

Second, if you can get the auction ID then you’ll see pictures of the auction queen.

Thirdly, yah all need to stop buying these auction junks. Try to find 2 year old lease returns and buy from the owners or banks. It’s shocking to see how they repair these auction junks. Anyone in Ibadan should visit the multitude of body shops behind First Bank in Oke Ado and you’ll never buy an auction car to carry your loved ones in.

But to each his own.

How possible is this in Nigeria?

Not in Nigeria. In USA or Canada (I think it’s stupidity to buy a Canadian vehicle unless someone is moving back home and has sentimental value attached) where majority of Toks are coming out of.

And someone will be frolicking about getting a clean VIN report.

Not all accidents are reported to the insurance and hence will make it to the VIN reports.

Example. If I have a 10 year old Accord/Camry in the USA that is worth $5K or so and I get into a fender bender. The last thing I'm going to do is report to the insurance company. I'll rather sell the car off rather than pay a $500 deductible and then higher insurance for the next 5 to 10 years.

this does not make a lot of sense

so, are you saying that someone who wants to buy a car from a dealer in Lagos for instance, should not get a vin report for the car? just because some details may not be included?

if that's what you're trying to imply then you are wrong

people should get vin reports. it is better to have some information than buy cars blindly.

if you get a comprehensive vin report and you go with a good mech to check the car I don't see why you would buy a bad car or faulty

oga this thread is pointless

simple, let the better product or service win

if they say their report is better than your own, prove them wrong otherwise stop disturbing everybody with all these trash threads littering everywhere

have they opened thread to complain about you or your product? I can see you also sell the same reports

otherwise it is envy that is motivating you

go and rest

After finding out how to get this Autocheck report for free bro, I feel like asking for a refund for all the money I wasted checking them with you.

And funnily, you wouldn't remove a dime for me no matter how many reports I run saying that it would no longer be profitable if you do whereas you actually get the reports for free.

Just a thread and you will look for alternative business

Car Guid:

Hello

Whatever complaints you may have are welcomed, our business welcomes constructive criticism, that is how we grow and develop.

[s]You stated you found a way to get AutoCheck reports free of charge. It is most definitely an illegal way.[/s]

Did our service aid in eliminating dangerous vehicles from your potential list? The answer to that question will determine if it was a "waste" or not.

[s]We are a legal business and eschew all forms of illegality or short cuts.[/s]

However, it remains your decision to get AutoCheck reports any way you decide. It is also your decision to open any threads you may wish to Sir.

Our business is completely legitimate and above board, so we do not have any fear of competition. Rather, we welcome competition.

There are already several threads and people who offer reports free of charge, you are always welcome to contact them. That is rightly your choice.

Our services are priced below average, and we offer more than just plain AutoCheck reports.

If you really wish to understand our business model, you can look at the image below, showing our official registered account with AutoCheck.com, who are the owners of the reports.
