So Buhari met it at #199 bit right now it's 362-363.

As bad as Jonathan's administration is he met it at #136 and sign out at #199.

There's even a time in this present government that we exchanged for U.S. dollar for #450.

In other part of the world the present is always better than past but in Nigeria "reverse is the case" like my grandma would say.

#issokay.

#GodBlessNigeria.

Hmmm

Sad pictorial evidence to how our national and collective fortunes took a nosedive all thanks to the Military boys whose only acclaim to leadership was through the barrel of a gun.

It's quite a shock that the exchange rate was still a bit sensible in the two years 1983-85 when Bubu adorned the khaki as a head of state until the proliferate gap-toothed one a.k.a the evil genius came on board and then, words like "hammer, collect, hit, parcel bomb, make am, big boy, guyman, advance fee fraud, etc" gradually took their place in our national vocab, the result is what we are still grappling with today.

To the commenter before me, kindly disregard what the exchange rate was during GEJ's time please. The rate then was a far cry from reality and very artificial.

What we have now, is more like it and a true reflection of all the battery and wanton rape our national coffers had been subjected to over the years.

E dey pain all of us sha but we couldn't have continued postponing judgment day. The earlyier we faced reality and work towards rejigging our economy, the better for us.
