Help! Should I Pursue A Career In Nursing??? by Hahnemann: 10:53am On Oct 10, 2019
Fellow Nairalanders
I wish to seek ur opinion before taking a bold step towards my future. I currently run a patent medicine store(chemist) in a semi-rural area in Akwa ibom state. I have my WAEC and cleared all the necessary science subjects including mathematics and English.

I am contemplating on pursuing a career in Nursing, but as a male though still single and a private entrepreneur, I'm just 27yrs old. is it advisable to pursue a career in Nursing and how tedious is the programme, can I still av chance to run my business eventually I gain admission and how much do I need to have as savings in my bank account in order not to be financially stressed out during the program.

Pls I need ur honest opinions. Thanks

NAFDAC- task force team.......make una wear slippers come see una customer.....U are not a Pharamacist....go and stop what u are doing b4 u get caught..
in addition u are already running an illegal drug store, the tendency u will do illegal things in our hospital when U bcome a nurse like exchange people’s baby, or sell it, or work with ritualist cannot be ignored..Please repent.

I’ve said my own...But all the same..nobody holy pass...

As regards ur question, no one can advice u weda to follow ur dream or not...u are a man already...27yrs is not 19yrs..however, I would say go for it if u have passion for saving lives...remember u go see blood alot some people can’t stand the sight of blood...
If the shop is not far from school, mayb u can pull it off together with a schooling...but u may need an sales attendant

As regards ur last question...this is Nigeria, we can just wake up and hear rice is 50k per bag and fuel as become scarce... no one can predict a particular amount will be enuf....but once u have paid ur school fees the rest na to survive naaa and u already know how to do that.....

Good luck man
