Hi NLers, pls I'll like some info especially from present or past users of these vehicles on the factors mentioned above. These cars are beautifully designed in & out and are priced quite reasonably, But I'll like to know more about these cars,especially as regards using them here in Nigeria. My dad used a volvo 240GLE for over ten years before giving it out & d car was quite rugged. But I want to know if these new models are really "chips of the old block" .Any other info concerning these cars is welcome.

I own an S80 as one of my rides.

Fuel consumption is not bad depending on how you take care of your car and also the distance you  re covering.
Spare part are some time overpriced by the igbo boys.
I will give you an instance, i tried asking for the cost of the engine and was told to bring 540k and i know to buy the car in jand is less than a 1000 pounds so why wont i bring in the car put it apart and start selling the parts myself?

The s80 is bbeautiful big and reliable but you will need a diagnostic machine so that the mechanic ddon'tturn the car into ccadaverwithin a short time.
I service the car at mMobilfilling station and i do this every 3 month at the cost of 22000. It is this amount because i use Mobill1 and use 2 gallon.

@G.B.T., thx a lot for d advice. For most cars manufactured after year 2000, I also think d diagnostic device must be used on them before any mechanic begins to tear d engine apart,
