BTW, did you know you could watch Yoruba movies on youtube?  It's a very good way to learn the language from some of the best speakers around.

I see too many married couples or dating couples here in the US where the man is Yoruba and the woman is something else (usually Igbo, AA, or white.) And it isn't as if the girls are scrubs either, some of these chicks are phenomenal. If Igbo/other Nigerian, will be very pretty. If AA, a prototypical long-haired redbone. If white, some sort of leggy blonde volleyball chick with a great body.

I'm guessing you never seen that video on here of the Ibo men and their "sexxxy" white, Finnish and German chics. . . . .

Hrm. I've tried that, but somehow didn't find it as captivating. I can understand spoken Yoruba, but I think only a subset of what they say in movies, so I get lost very fast

I think the Bible might work out better, since I already know (most) of the content. And I can quickly pause and go over phrases/expressions that I don't know just by comparing with text.

Also, if I'm sitting watching something on youtube that I don't really understand, then it feels like homework or something. If I'm just listening while working out, then it doesn't feel like homework as much.
