I am presently working with an oil marketing firm in Lagos-Apapa and the course of my career, I raised N2,178,000 in which I entrust to somebody (friend) to supply premium motor spirit within Lagos and share returns.

After seven months, he claims to have outstanding debts outside though i was able to recoup only N1,040,000 cash from him. This cash has been fixed at a bank for 30days at 2% interest.

My major concern now is what type of business do i do with a million naira cash in Nigeria-Lagos apart from oil supplies due to my experience.

Though I had the intention of going to core buying and selling like having a store or shop stocking it and put someone there, my experience with my friend is holding me back. I am an office person, very versatile with sitting down in full AC office and analyses business figures, drawing up business proposals, business plans, preparing cashflows etc, and my write up has help alot of people though I do charge a minor fee for those jobs.

I have done same for myself but my problem is I am an extreme extrovert, I do have issues in putting my write up work for me the way it works for my supposed clients.

I saw something about importing goods from China and thinking if that should be a better idea for me.

Great nairalanders please advise me as I want to plan for my retirement.
