I won't advise anyone to go the Cyprus- north or south for studies. The schools are alright but these areas are not well developed. In answer to your question okeyz, NO you can't work part time because there are no worthwhile jobs. If you get a job it will not even pay your rent or buy you clothes [which are expensive] and you CANNOT get jobs after school there, you are on your own when you are done with school, you'd either have to return to your country of origin or seek to relocate to a different country for further studies. [Waste of time, money and effort i' say]
Trust me, i know first hand.
I'd repeat though, that Eastern Mediterranean university is a good school but then you should have a sponsor who's willing to pay for your fees [very affordable by the way], accommodation [which is quite high, competing with UK, US and canadian costs] and general living expenses.
Scholarships are very limited - about 4 annually-especially with the influx of african students [thanks to agents who provide exaggerated information].
Recruitment agents and agencies make money off students who have little or no idea about these places, not that i blame them. Do your research thoroughly before you go and be sure you can afford all expenses else you will end up getting stranded, neither in school or able to go home for shame as is the case with many africans there.

The above information are all these are lies, make sure you have sponsors that are rich enough to take care of you, there are no jobs and even if u get a job it will only feed you and nothing more it wont even pay your bills for you. if you know your parents are not rich enough stay away from cyprus, the school (emu ) is a very excellent school but make sure, just make sure that your parents or sponsors have enough to take care of you because so many Nigerians students go there and end up on the streets. i have 2 younger brothers there and i have visited the place twice the place is cool and ok but its only for the rich so husslers should stay away because its not a place that is meant for them you will get a very good and quality education there but at a very expensive rate because its very expensive out there and no work to get you going if your parents are not rich enough.

@poster
you failed to tell them that the scholarship for nigerians are limited to only 5 people. In my freshman year, i was the sixth and they did not even consider me.

-Finding suitable accommodation for international students in or around the EMU campus.
About this one, what do you have to say about the stranded nigerian students that had to do a peaceful demonstration before a temporary accomodation was provided for them?
