Ever since the appointment of a new Director General, Mr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyitolu, the ever busy and catchy Twitter handle "@lasemasocial" has been dormant as observed. It is worth noting that Mr Olufemi Oke-Osanyitolu who was appointed by Gov. Sanwo-Olu in June 2019 replaced Mr. Tiamiyu Adesina.

It was reported in the news that over 33 ad-hoc workers of LASEMA were sacked by the new management of the agency which might have also affected operations including the regular social media update. We all remember and sometimes praise their official photographer behind the well taken pictures posted often on their Twitter handle. That has changed now because the last time a content was uploaded on the handle was on October 16, 2019 with the picture quality suggesting that the official photographer might have either resigned or sacked.

Comments, media mentions from former staff as well as response from call agents are all clues that all is not well with the agency.
