The incumbent president of the Okaiuga federated Union Chief Obi Aguocha (Udo Ji Agu) has been adopted as a sole presidential candidate in the forthcoming Ohuhu Welfare Union federated (OWUf) election scheduled to hold on the 11th of November 2019.

In a well-attended meeting hosted at Eze Nzenwata Mbakwe’s palace and attended by all the major stake holders including traditional rulers, youths, title holders etc..



The community decided to present a sole candidate for the election stating that there is no point going into the election divided. Chief Johnny Nwankwo, a major aspirant for the position of the OWUf President in his address said, in the spirit of unity and oneness and for the love he has for Ohuhu, he is dropping his ambition and will henceforth throw his weight and that of his supporters behind Chief Obi Aguocha.

Recall that the tenure of Barrister Johnson Kanu Led Ohuhu Welfare Union executives will be ending on the 1th of November 2019 having served for 3 years.

Meanwhile the OWUf Election Committee has called on interested aspirants to come forward and contest for the 9 vacant offices in the OWUf Exco including that of the president, secretary others.

The election is expected to hold at the Umuawa Alaocha Community Primary School on Monday the 11th of Nov. while time is 10 am.

Those who attended the meeting include, , HRH Eze Bobby Aguocha, HRH Eze Paul Uzoegbu, HRH Ugochukwu Akabuike and the host HRH Eze Nzenwata, the presidents general of the 4 autonomous communities that made up Okaiuga Nkwoegwu, all the village chairmen, community youth leaders etc.
