Brazil staged a remarkable comeback for the second time in a week on Sunday to beat Mexico 2-1 in front of their own fans and win the Under-17 World Cup for the 4th time.
Just three days after they recovered from being 2-0 down to beat France 3-2 in the semi-finals, Brazil scored two goals in the last 10 minutes to overcome their Latin rivals.

Indian Man Guards Lagos House With Lion

Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit have surrounded a house being guarded by a lion on Muri Okunola Street, Victoria Island.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the officials had been deployed in the house since Friday after residents petitioned the state government on the presence of the wild animal in the house.

Inflation rate rises to 11.61% – NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said that Nigeria’s annual inflation rate rose from 11.24 percent in September to 11.61 percent in October.
The Bureau disclosed this in its monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for October report released, on Monday in Abuja.
It said that the increase was a 0.36 percentage points higher than 11.24 percent recorded in September

Yahaya Bello Emerges Winner of Kogi Governorship Election

Gov. Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of the governorship election held in Kogi State on Nov. 16.
The Returning Officer of the election, Prof. Ibrahim Garba, who announced the results in Lokoja on Monday said that Bello polled 406,222 votes to beat 24 other contestants, including Mr. Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 189,704 votes.
