6 ways to Fix “iPhone Won’t Charge” error

Tip 1: Use official Apple USB power adapter and USB cable.

The official accessory is designed especially for your device and is more suitable for it. If you are using a third party accessory, that might be the cause of the problem. If that’s the case, just change the third-party accessory into the official one.

Tip 2: Use wall power outlet.

Connect your USB cable to a wall adapter and plug the adapter into the wall. You have to make sure the wall outlet is working.

Tip 3: Use a Different USB cable.

As a key component in charging your iPhone, a broken USB cable is to blame in some cases. You just need to change into another USB cable and have a try.

Tip 4: Change power supply.

For example, if you are using a computer to charge your iPhone, it might be something wrong with the USB port. Or you are using the wrong power supply that can not meet the power demand of you iPhone. No matter what situation you are in, what you need to do then is to use another power supply.

Tip 5: Clean your iPhone charging port.

Debris and lint could be jammed into your iPhone charging port, which can lead to the failure of connecting your iPhone to the USB cable. Check your iPhone charging port and see whether it need a cleaning.

Tip 6: Force restart your iPhone.

For iPhone 7/7 Plus users: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and Volume Down button until the Apple logo appears.
For iPhone 6s and earlier users: Press and hold Sleep/Wake button and Home button until the Apple logo appears.
