Good day all,
RE: THE ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN SCHEME (WEST AFRICAN)

If you have been having challenges with UTME, be it
- Not meeting the cut-off point,
- Meeting the cut-off point but failing post-UTME
- Meeting the cut-off point, passing post-UTME but still being denied admission.
- Meeting the cut-off point, passing post-UTME, gaining admission but couldn't continue due to money/financial reasons,
- Considering combining University/Polytechnic education with a professional certification ?
- or any other University
challenges not mentioned above, but you desperately want a University/Polytechnic admission ?
Then the ATS(WA) is just what you need.

There are many benefits of the ATS(WA), but I will list just a few here
1) It is cost effective; ie, relatively cheap and flexible.
2) It is recognised by higher institutions and business organizations
3) All you need to apply for the *ATS*, is a minimum of 5 *credit passes* including Maths and English language in *WAEC*, (Yes not only Commercial students, but Arts and Science students can also apply)
4) It takes only 18 months (one and a half years) to complete
5) The *ATS(WA)* is specially designed to improve your your - *IQ* (Intelligence Quotient)
- *Cognitive Skills*
- *Interpersonal and Social Skills*
6) Upon completion of the *ATS(WA)*, many options are opened to you. Here is a few of them just to mention a few.
automatic qualification for *HND* into any Federal or State Polytechnic in Nigeria
automatic admission to *200 level* into any Federal or State University in Nigeria
work in an Accounting Firm or the *Account Department/Unit of a privately owned business establishment or a government ministry/agency*
Proceed, to the "Professional Stage" ie *ICAN*
Like I said earlier, there are many benefits, but I will stop here for now.

Now let me say a few things about the *not so good part*, the saying, *"No Pain No Gain"* applies to the *ATS(WA)*
it is not for you if you are *lazy academically*
it requires proper planning and *intensive studying*
if you don't study hard enough, you ~might~ *will* fail some papers .
you must pass all 12 papers in the 3 stages before you can become an *Accountant Technician*‍‍
Though nearly everyone can apply (as long as you have 5 credit passes including English language and Maths in *WAEC*), the *ATS(WA)* will only train you to become an accountant .

As you can see for yourself, the *Advantages* far outweigh the *disadvantages*.
So for your own good, overcome your *academic challenges* and give yourself a *comparative advantage* by applying for the *ATS(WA)*.
