From time immemorial Awolowo Hall of residence has been known for its popular Aro which has drawn personalities both far and near to be familiar with Awo boys. The Awo day is backed up with varieties of events ranging from the Ewa(beans) which is cooked in the morning for residents of the hall to come out in Mass after which at night their is the aro night featuring students, great personalities, and even alumni body of the institution.

Below is the order of event for this year Awo Day.

Ewa day, The comeback (A ti lo, A ti de)

Group A- Annex, Block 8, Block 5

Group B- Block 1, Block 3, Block 6

Group C- Block 2, Block 7, Block 4

Judges: Prof. Ahddy, Alarape, Opa, Abass, Tee Babs and more. e.t.c.

Awo day is one of the unforgettable celebrations that occur in Obafemi Awolowo University.
