A lady revealed what a driver who tried to rob her friend did to her in Lagos.

In the video, according to her, she wrote:

A taxi driver tried to rob my friend last night. He used plank to beat her up just cause of her chain. He even took her iPhone because she was alone. And the police is saying we should forgive after everything.

A driver that robs a passenger is not rich!

Police do not preach forgiveness in case of a crime.
Even when rich men are involved, they go directly to their victims to beg and if it
fails they start intimidating the victims. The police may be hostile in such a cases but
they cannot erase the crime and there are several ways to pressure the police.

As long as a crime has been committed, reported and recorded it is not the duty of the police to move forward or not.
Even if one police station refused to take action, what stops the victim from approaching other ones?

who allows that? that is criminals. negotiation is allowed in civil cases but in criminal cases, law must run its course. police helps accused in criminal cases to negotiate because of bribery and corruption.
