Mr. Laptop Engineer
should have fixed those sturvs before coming to sell ur liability. How on earth will a Lappy engineer think of selling Laptop with one bad Ram slot. You may be able to manage it, but whoever will buy it will not be happy with u when it starts developing issues.
Just sell the Laptop in bits, the battery, hard disk, screen, charger, keypad and casing and make your money.
