Due to the fact that social media platform allow all it users to access and post anything, sometimes people end up saying things they don’t mean or say things without thinking about how it might affect the person reading it. Instagram seems to have a new feature that could give you some pause.

Instagram today announced it’s rolling out a new feature in its ongoing attempt to curb bullying, the new warning tool is call AI(Artificial intelligence Instagram) that will warn users before they post a potentially offensive caption with their posts with comment as well. When it does, as you can see in the screenshot above, it will warn users that this might be considered to be a bad idea and that they should consider editing it.

According to Instagram, “Today, when someone writes a caption for a feed post and our AI detects the caption as potentially offensive, they will receive a prompt informing them that their caption is similar to those reported for bullying. They will have the opportunity to edit their caption before it’s posted. “

However, users can still go ahead and post it if they want, but at the very least Instagram is giving users the opportunity to reconsider some of their choices. Whether or not users take the company up on it is a different story, although the company does note that so far, the results have been promising.
