1- Many times, it is carried out by someone you trusted. And someone you least expected to hurt your child. This makes recovery more difficult.

2- Anyone can be a pedophile. A teacher. A father. An aunt. A cousin. A religious leader. A maid. A chef. Anyone at all...so do not trust anyone completely with your child.

3- It can lead to childhood mental health troubles or future mental health troubles.
Some children begin to have anxiety issues. They may start urinating on themselves. If this is not checked, they grow up with anger, anxiety and trust issues. They can also suffer depression which may lead to suicide.

4- Having sex in front of your children or children generally...or undressing before them(in a manner that shows your private regions) is a form of sexual abuse.

5- Once sexual abuse happens, it marks your child forever. It is worse if it was done by someone they were familiar with. It lives with the children forever.

6- Sometimes victims talk about it, but parents tell them to stay quiet because of the reputation of the person involved.

7- The abuser can be a man or a woman!

8- Do not encourage adults to use terms of endearments with your children. "My wife," "My husband,"

9- In a public place, do not allow your child to use the toilet alone. Please follow them or ask their older sibling to do so.

10- Learn to peep at your kids when they are playing. Just peep to be sure everything is alright.




11- Changes in walking posture, behavior, stains on undies and clothes must be questioned and investigated.

12- Be watchful of your maids. Some bring men home when you are away. These men may be pedophiles too.

13- Do not encourage your son or daughter to sit on anyone's lap. Apply wisdom here.

14- Babies are not safe too. Don't allow someone to go too far away with your baby or toddler.

15-The first and best way to prevent this from happening is sex education.

16- Develop a positive relationship with your kid such that they can tell you anything.

17- Teach them about their body parts and tell them not to allow anyone touch them there.

18- Once your child complains about an adult or starts to avoid an adult, don't be ignorant. Behave like a rat who is in search of something. Be watchful!

19- Don't leave your innocent child in any healing or prayer house. Go with them and stay there throughout.

20- I believe in prayers. Always pray to God to protect your kids. If you are irreligious, do whatever it takes.
