Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II surprised members of New Covenant Gospel Church and all when he attended the sunday church service days after celebrating "Ugie Ewere" (a Thanksgiving ceremony that marks the end of Igue festival). The Oba said he had instructed the Iyase(Prime Minister) to represent him but was touched by God to attend in person. According to the revered Oba, this was the first time he is attending a Pentecostal church after his coronation.
