I learnt that the CTN is coming back. NPA trying to re introduce it. Also, cars are not being released to owners at the port as there is strike at the port.Why is the Nigerian government always snuffing life out of her citizens during festive periods?

CARGO TRACKING NOTE - NIGERIA

As agreed by the Nigerian Ports of Authority and the Association representing the shipping agencies in Nigeria (SAN) as from the 1st of December, all cargo to Nigerian ports will need to have a Cargo Tracking Number (CTN) before loading.  All carriers will be ensuring compliance by requesting the CTN before loading. For the ACL/Grimaldi Direct Service, the first applicable voyage is the Grande Guinea voy. 310 leaving on December 12, 2010.



The CTN will have to be provided either on the bill instructions or by separate correspondence to our support group by email at least 4 working days prior to vessel ETA. Cargo will not be allocated to a vessel load list unless it has a CTN.
