So I've been wondering. on several occasions you'll get calls from fraudsters with random numbers claiming they are from your bank, some will ask for your BVN( bank verification number). And also, Banks issues strong warning to customers not to disclose their BVN to people. I do know how your ATM card can be used to defraud you but how exactly can a BVN number be used to access your bank account? Somebody should shed more light biko.

Yes, at the ATM. It's called "cardless policy." But not really easy without ATM card pin. Except the pin info is hacked or leaked by an insider.

Capital NO. BVN can't be used to withdraw money. but can be used to perpetuate fraud. like opening account and requesting a loan. BVN is just a Bank Verification Number linked to all your account. It just like asking if you can use international passport Number to withdraw money.
