Title: The Jagaban of Unizik

Episode 1

Chijioke used to be a school-phobian right from his elementary school days. He never liked going to school. Infact, as at his primary 1 class, he was nicknamed “Onye ujo akwukwo”.


His parents forced him so much that he had no other choice than to adapt. Even when he did, he never performed well in class, he was the dullest pupil in his class and they had to re-nicknamed him “Itiboribo”� but he never cared, anyway.�
It’s not really a good thing to hear but the truth be told; his mother was the cause of all his non-chalant attitudes. She over-pampered him and hardly chastise him.�

Chijioke continued that way till he managed to proceed to college. He was allegedly involved in a cult clash as at his JSS3 which led to his expulsion from the school, but before that, he had been a thorn in the flesh to the School prefects �, he came to school whatever time that seemed him right, go home whenever he choose to.


One day, the School Disciplinary Prefect flogged him and he gave him couples of blows till he blowed off his tooth! �☹�
From that day every other person avoided him like leprosy.�

His father never liked him for his notorious acts but his mother do support him directly or indirectly.
Chijioke was later enrolled in another school where he completed his secondary school.
He didn’t graduate with good grades at all but his mother arranged everything till he was pushed to the university.

When he got to the university; UNIZIK, precisely he even became more notorious.
He joined a very notorious confraternity there.�
He went about causing trouble everywhere till he was declared wanted. He was later named the JAGABAN when he succeded in killing the CAPON of their rival cult group.�

At the mention of JAGABAN, students and even lecturers trembled, infact, the fear of JAGABAN was the beginning of wisdom for every UNIZIK student!�



JAGABAN’s father died of heart attack as a result of all his notorious acts but he never cared!
He became a hardened criminal, politicians used him and his fellow cultists for thuggery and ballot snatchings during election.�

Anyone contesting for SUG posts in the school dare not do such without JAGABAN’s consent, else he pays with his life���

Jagaban could enter a class and tell the lecturer to walk away….and with our hesitation the lecturer will.
Jagaban became a terror that by 9PM, them no born you well make you come outside, ��

From 9pm to 2am was popularly referred to as JAGABAN night, iF you had a night party that could last till dawn, its either you settle jagaban or you don’t hold it. �


No one sees Jagaban’s face, he is always on mask,
I could remember a female friend of mine who Jagaban raped in broad day light in the lecture hall, all because she refused answering his call. ��

Once he passes you and you don’t hail him, he will make sure you go home empty and naked.

Everyone feared him �

JAGABAN in his quest to become the CAPON of his confraternity never relented in causing trouble. Even as the school authority tried their best to curtail his notorious acts, it even became worse!����
JAGABAN was finally made the CAPON when he led a nine-man squad inter cult clash in his school.
His confraternity had a very bloody clash with one of their rivals again and the result was 7 to nil as JAGABAN and his boys slewed seven of their rivals and the rest ran away��� JAGABAN losed non of his members.���
This particular clash was so bloody that students ran home for their dear lives���

JAGABAN had gotten what he so much longed for, (THE CAPON�☠�) but it’s like this time, his days had been numbered���
The school resumed after the clash but all have sworned that he won’t go scot-free this time���

The school authority arranged with SCHOOL ANTI CULT SQUAD and the SPECIAL ANTI ROBBERY SQUAD to apprehend JAGABAN.

They even placed a ransom for anyone who could apprehend him. Rival cultists on the other side were hunting for him; they vowed he must pay for all the damages he caused them, JAGABAN too was aware that the battle line had been drawn and therefore he needed to fortify himself ten more times ��☠

The Anti cult squad once caught him in a hotel but he slipped off their hands like okro soup���

He had up to ten armulets; the ones he wore as rings, the ones he wore around the waists and even the ones he wore on his genitals; all these made him “unapprehendable”. Infact, apprehending JAGABAN was as impossible as catching the wind.
He once robbed a bank with his boys and as they attempted to make away with the money, the police intervened but they shot till their bullets were exhausted but it never penetrated JAGABAN and his boys, they still made away with the money.

“Everyday they say is for the thief but one day is for the owner”.
The SPECIAL ANTI ROBBERY SQUAD got a very viable idea to get JAGABAN and that was…using an intelligent female syndicate.
