REPORT OF fire OUTBREAK AT OLD MOTOR SPARE PARTS MARKET, MGBUKA obosi AT EARLY HOURS OF SATURDAY 11-01-2020


At about 0142 hours (1.42am) of Saturday 11-01-2020, Anambra State fire Service received a distress of fire outbreak at Old Motor Spare Parts Market, Mgbuka, obosi.

Immediately, we deployed our fire trucks and firefighters to the scene to fight the fire. There was no loss of life during the fire outbreak as the fire outbreak is under control.

The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained.

The fire outbreak was much due to the nature of things they sell there which are mainly flammable materials. With the application of our chemical foam compound, we were able to fight and control the fire.

Thank you firefighters for the sleepless night and struggles. Thank you the general public for the assistance and support given to firefighters during the fire fighting. Thank you also the Nigerian Police and other sister Agencies for your support and coverage.

What's with Anambra and fire outbreaks recently
May God Almighty grant those whose properties where consumed in the fire the fortitude to bear their loss.

Anambra has constantly been in the news for fire outbreaks recently. I hope these are not some sort organised occurrences. Perhaps there is a culprit behind the scene who is fire obsessed

Markets all over the south are on fire, i don't believe this is mere accident, it's purely arson. The south is being targeted.

I hope this was not staged just to show us that Anymore state now have a functioning fire service
