A mother abandoned her daughter for 9 years with the father and recently came back to sue for custody of the child. The girl is seen in tears after the courts decide to give the child to the mother.

just because a mother abandoned her child for 9yrs, doesnt mean she is not best suited to take care of the child NOW... just like a father could do the same after abandoning his child for 9 yrs. it all should be about the CHILD's best interest.

Abandoned!!! Not like she was working abroad and checking on her every now and then. The girl's love for her dad says it all. Probably she now has some money to throw around and came to oppress the man

you are not being rational... just because a child loves her dad (like she should) is NOT a reason to believe that her welfare is best with dad... if daddy is broke and can barely afford the necessities that this child needs (while mommy can) then let that child be with the mother.... just because she couldnt be there for the 1st years certainly does not [b]DISQUALIFY [/b]her from being this child's biological mother, does it?!

If your argument was correct, they would not be in court and it should have been a peaceful negotiation

of course they needed to go to court.... because we all know how parents behave. that man probably thought that since mother had left for 9years, she had NO MORE rights to be in this child's life (let alone get custody). many parents are emotionally blinded like that, they dont think straight any longer. so the court looked at the evidence and believed that the child's welfare would be best while staying with mom.

you can NEVER have peaceful negotiations with emotional people... no cant do!
