Kizz Daniel – The Early Years

Kizz Daniel was born on the 1st day of May in 1994. The singer was born in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State, Nigeria and grew up in the Abeokuta North local government area of the state. Even though everyone now calls him Kizz Daniel, it is noteworthy that his real birth name is actually Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe.

Daniel is not an only child; the singer actually has three brothers and one sister with whom he shared his childhood while growing up in Abeokuta.

Did he go to school?

Daniel did have some formal education. Growing up, the singer attended the Abeokuta Grammar School where he had his high school education. He then proceeded to attend the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta from where he graduated with a degree in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology (Water Engineering) in 2013.

Kizz Daniel’s Musical Exploits

Kizz Daniel has always loved music. As a child, he loved listening as his father played songs on the radio and always felt drawn to the sounds. However, it was when he was in the university that he really decided he wanted to create music as a career.

Eventually, he kickstarted his music career in 2013. It was the same year he graduated from the university. At the time, Daniel happened to have come across Emperor Geezy, the CEO of G-Worldwide, a record label. Geezy fell in love with Kizz Daniel’s voice and talent and promptly signed him to the record label.

In 2014, Daniel released his debut single under the G-Worldwide label titled Shoye. The song was received quite well by fans and critics. Shortly after this, he got his big break when he released his second single, Woju to critical acclaim. Split from G-Worldwide

In 2017, Kizz Daniel split from his record label, G-Worldwide. He made the announcement in November 2017. He then created his own label Flyboy Inc. However, the split did not go without a fight from G-Worldwide which sued the singer to court accusing him of violating contractual terms. The court has case dragged on for some time and is pending before the courts.

Daniel has, however, continued making music. Under his new label, the singer released his second studio album, titled No Bad Songz on the 30th of December 2018.
