The government of Akwa Ibom State has made conscious efforts to promote indigenous movies and encourage mainstream players to shoot their movies in Akwa Ibom.

This is because of the vibrancy of the movie sector of the entertainment industry, considering the number of youths it employs and it's income generating potentials.

The S.A to Governor on Entertainment Industry, Hon. David Sergeant (Utang Akwa Ibom) is pictured here on set of a movie in Akwa Ibom directed by Humble Akpan (DGN).
