President Juliet Pulu Foundation orients Year One Students At The University Of Africa, Toru Orua During Their Orientation

The President of Juliet Pulu Foundation delivered a talk on Gender based violence and social vices the University of Africa, Toru Orua during the year one orientation program, 21st January 2020.

Hon Mrs Pulu who is known over the years for her selfless effort to correct some ills in the society that is militating against the youths. She defined what gender based violence and social vices is.

Mrs Pulu pointed out those vices perpetrated by students, that includes, rape, sexual abuse and harassment, bullying, low self esteem, cultism, suicide, etc.

She encouraged them to believe in themselves and develop themselves with ideas that can make them outstanding. She quoted, 'Only those who focus in their studies, makes an outstanding result'.

The president of the group, cheered them to be better citizens so as to change the negative trends that youths engage themselves in.

Mrs Pulu at this high point of her talk stated, 'I advise you to educate the younger ones that they should shun the trend of claiming to be 'Marlians' with the wrong understanding because the popular Naira Marley himself is a graduate and has a sound background. You should copy good virtues and not bad ones'.

Students who talked to our reporter acknowledged that, they have gained something meaningful from her presentation and promised to stick to it to succeed during their stay in school.
