I inherited a very small cocoa farm from my late dad long ago. Over d years, not only does the farm yield very little or nothing, many of the cocoa trees are dead from termite infestation. I made some enquiries about d farm, I was told the d land itself might be a nationally termite-infested land. In this dry season, I'm affraid d remaining few trees may die off finish.


House, Pls how do I treat this issue of termites & generally improve d crop yields? There are Some kolanut trees mixed with cocoa on d plantation. Both cocoa & Kolanut trees....very little yield. Help a bro, Pls

Travel to Accra Ghana and stop at area call Tudu, from Tudu bust stop, take a bus going to lapas or Ashiomota, stop at Abeka junction bus stop, opposite the bus stop is Agric shop under two story building where every thing you need to revive your coco farm is sell in retail and wholesale. the termite issue is small thing, is about buying the right drug mix in water and spray on the leaves and steam. 50k naira transport by land go and come back 2 to 3 days journey go and come back, or with 150k naira 5 hours journey by flight going and coming back. I don't know the drugs price but you keep money on your debit card, naira debit card work only in Nigeria, it must be debit card that will be accept in any ATM machine world wide. there's Ecobank ATM near the Agric shop.

But there should be solution around here nah. Are people no longer interested in cocoa farming Especially we young farmers...I'm in Osun state though

How many acres? If it is too big for pesticide, burn the whole thing.

Live if for 6-8 month and burn it again... It will kill Dem all and replenish the soil. Then practice bush fallowing.
