I went through some of the phenotype discussion threads on nl, seems many people have specific features they associate with Nigerians generally.

For some folks, they only want to see particular features and not others, due perhaps to a sense of embarrassment at attributes that aren't considered attractive.

Have you ever seen a non-Nigerian black who looked Nigerian? I mean someone with no Nigerian ancestry.

hm, Ugandans generally don't look like Nigerians except for skin colour.

I'd say they look more like Caribbeans or vice versa.

If someone looks Nigerian but is not Nigerian, is that an indication of Nigerian ancestry?

I don't think it always is although perhaps it could be hard to tell..

Folks, phenotype means features, not clothes.

Do we have people's permission to refer to them as Nigerians only because they wore Nigerian clothes and no other reason?
