NIPOGA is a biennial sporting competition involving all accredited polytechnics and colleges of technology in Nigeria. These sporting games were organized based on consensus agreement by stakeholders to encourage sports competition among all Nigeria accredited polytechnics and colleges of technology in Nigeria since the year 1976.

NIPOGA game was brought into existence to ensure peaceful co-existence among Nigerians, to
discover, nurture sporting talents and sustain physically and mentally fit youths in Nigeria
polytechnics and college of technology.

This sporting game is also a platform to build a socio-cultural and political bridge of unity and maintain a harmonious relationship in Nigeria and also invest in youth and generate sponsorship for talented youth in and out of the country.

The game also provides an avenue to bridge the gap between the students and staffs of the polytechnics. There are always a variety of game such as table tennis, tennis, badminton, basketball, volley ball, hand ball, scrabbles, chess, football, judo, hockey, squash taekwondo and many more.

The 20th Edition which will officially commence today is hosted by the Kwara State Polytechnic. The Institution has put a lot in place in order to make this edition memorable for all.

The Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed has assured participants of the institution's readiness to host one of the best editions of the games.
