Bushings are produced through hot-bonded construction where elastic material is melted to the inner and outer metal sleeves. Another method that is used for producing bushings is where the elastomer or rubber material is injected in the sleeves. Polyurethane or synthetic rubber does not bond to metal; it stays suspended on the mount surface that allows a greater range of motion.
