The Bio-fil Digester is a simple compact on-site waste treatment system that uniquely combines the benefits of the flush toilet system and those of the compositing toilets and eliminates the disadvantages and drawbacks of both systems. The Bio-Digester is a decomposition mechanized toilet system which decomposes human excretory waste in the Digester tank using specific high graded bacteria further converting it into methane & water, discharged further to desired surface.

The Bio-fil Digester can also be liken to a passive decentralized waste water treatment system that uses aerobic decomposition and macro-organisms to breakdown waste. It is a new modern toilet technology, a small endorsed chamber that replaces the septic or manhole.

HOW IT WORKS

The Bio-fil Digester mimics the decomposition found under forest floors and other natural environments. Living organisms (both micro-organisms & macro-organisms such as earthworms ) in an enclosed environment treat all organic degradable matter through the natural process of aerobic decomposition.

Waste water and fecal matter enter at the top of the Bio-fil Digester were rapid separation of solid and liquid contents of the waste occurs. The Digester is essentially is biological filter consisting Bacteria, other organism degrade, solid fecal matter. All liquid are liquids are organically filtered out of the bottom of the Digester and drained into the soil were further decomposition occurs. Other solids ( toilet paper and all degradable and cleaning material) are decomposed and converted into rich affordable

The design is simple, replicable, and affordable; it operates on a very low maintenance requirements. It is suitable for all soil conditions including [b]heavy clay soil,[b]shallow or exposed rock beds and soils with high water tables. The Digester can be laid above ground or below ground depending on the ground water level of the location.[/b]

Futhermore, to further butress how the Bio-fil Digester works given that it is an aerobic decomposition system, it treats toilet waste and the flush water in the chamber, by breaking down the toilet waste completely with oxygen in a way that odour is not generated. The chamber itself is filter when you flush your water closest (WC) the Digester filters the toilet wasted water through grades of sand, fiber net and porous concrete allowing non-toxic clean odourless water to drain your garden, soak away or gutter, living the toilet in a suspended environment were oxygen gets to every part of it, under this environment millions of environmentally friendly micro organisms and bacteria feed on the toilet waste till it disappears completely, also as the toilet waste decomposes on an aerobic chambers it suppresses the production of methane gas during the process.

When we have finish constructing the Bio-fil Digester chamber, we put in a chemical called BIOZYME; it's a chemical full of environmentally friendly bacteria's. BIO- ZYME POWDER is a chemical that burns liquefies and degrade human waste within three (3)days. It makes Bio-fil Digester chambers always empty and clean.

MORE ADVANTAGES

COST------- The construction of the Bio-fil Digester system is low cost, safe and cheaper than septic tank or man-hole system. The cost which includes the casting of slabs ( As shown below in first pics) for the chamber, casting of porous concrete, treated sand, treated fibre, a plastic basket with coconut husk, cement and water construction of the chamber, transportation of material to the site and labour for construction if the chamber and these comes at relatively low cost compared to the known conventional ones.

However charges in terms of price for the construction of a Bio-fil Digester varies from house to house all depending on the number of [b]CHAMBER(S)to be constructed in a house.

MINIMUM LAND UPTAKE

Unlike the conventional soakaway toliet system the Bio-fil Digester is [b]2FT X 2FT X 6FT (600mm x 600mm x 1800mm) and so land-take is minimized, this is very perfect for houses were minimal land is available given that little or nothing can be done to expand, so because of its small size you can actually position it anywhere.

NUMBER OF USERS

The typical Digester(2FT X 2FT X 6FT or 600m x 600m x 1800mm)can accommodate 25 users in the micro-flush setting and 10users when operated as flush unit. These are average typical usages the Digester can tolerate occasion heavier use.

ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDINESS/INSTALLATION

Because the Digester and effluent pipes are always installed above the ground water table, water contamination is completely aerobic conditions eliminating odour and air pollution. The eliminates the possibility of costly site remediation and clean up ( as in the case of failed septic or VIP).

The Digester can be constructed and installed within a day. The soakaway digging and laying of blocks and slabs for the soak away takes three days. Installation can be constructed above or within the ground, at water logged areas, dry land e.t.c.

HEALTH IMPACT MITIGATION

One of the major reason for the invention of the Bio-fil Digester system is health impact mitigation, the hazards of unsafe sanitation sanitation includes diseases such as cholera, dysentery scabies and intestinal worms and environmental pollution . Bio-fil toilets are well ventillated, well illuminated and meet specific need of users groups. Misuse of toilets and open defecation is often avoided. Tiled interiors makes cleaning toilet easy.
