Introduction to HTML, What is HTML (Hypertext Markup Language)? - Dtech Computer School I say a very warm welcome to those who just kicked off their programming career. For you to be a genius in computer programming, all you need is consistency, focus and practice more. Today we will be talking about our first programming language which is HTML. You must have heard a lot about this programming language, but to tell you the truth it is not as hard as you think. Without wasting much time, lets go into the lesson proper.  What is HTML? HTML is a programming Language that is used mainly for building websites. The full meaning of HTML is Hypertext Markup Language. HTML is written using tags. Although there is an upgrade in the current standard of HTML. The first standard is HTML 4 the upgrade is HTML 5. Like i said before there are other programming languages that is used for building Website. We will look into that in my next post. HTML code are written using tags. See example below; <html> <title>Dtech Computer School</title> <head> <body> <h1> Welcome to Dtech Computer School</h1> </body> </head> </html> Wow! interesting isn't it? Copy those code and paste this code in notepad and save it as web.html, open the file with a browser e.g. chrome and you will see the magic. Now you have know what is HTML and how to write the codes.
