After 5years and four day's, the Catholic Church through the wisdom of the Holy Father, Pope Francis has appointed the successor of Bishop v.v. ezeonya of blessed memory who was the previous Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Aba, in the person of Very Rev Fr Augustine Echema now Bishop Augustine Echema of the Catholic Diocese of ABA.

Their was joy on the faces of every clergy and lay faithfuls as it marked the beginning of a new dawn.

The bishop elect thanked all who were present and where represented.

The presence of the governor of ABIA state was felt as he graced the occasion with his wife, the deputy governor and his wife and few others.
He congratulated the Bishop elect and thanked all who came.
