The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced the recruitment of 1,050 Graduate Trainees for its 2019/2020 employment exercise.

This was contained in a statement on Friday, by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs, Samson Makoji.

It quoted the Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari, as saying that the Human Resources Division of the NNPC has since commenced the issuance of provisional offers of employment to the 1,050 fresh employees.

While describing the recruitment as a very important assignment for the corporation, Kyari stated that the outcome of the exercise reflected national spread and complied with all statutory requirements.

The GMD maintained that recruitment in the corporation will be a continuous process, even as he noted that the Experienced Hire (EH) component of the exercise would be addressed in due course.

“We look forward to warmly receiving our new team members and working with them to build a corporation that all Nigerians will be proud of,” Kyari added.

The 2019/2020 recruitment exercise kicked off via nationwide adverts in the national dailies & online media on 13 March, 2019, followed by shortlisting of qualified candidates which commenced from about 27 March, 2019.

People making the usual assertion search for NNPC thread and see how people without connection got APL. That you didn't get doesn't equate to the process being non transparent something better is in stock. Let keep hope alive. Mele Kyari try for this one.

Abeg abeg! Let’s not always bad mouth every activity or recruitment exercise carried out in Nigeria. This is about the most transparent recruitment excercise in Nigeria. The GMD Mele Kyari tried as much as possible to ensure that this exercise was transparent. If you know what and what they corporation underwent before the release of this list, you won’t be saying this.

The dragging of the committee to court contributed in the delay of the shortlist. I know quite a number of people that are successful who knew no body in NNPC.

So please, it’s wrong to say that the whole process is fraudulent just because you or your relation couldn’t scale. True. #themostcrediblerecruitmentexerciseinnnpc

This particular recruitment was the most transparent. My friend who knew nobody in NNPC was selected meritoriously.

No no no let be fact on this, you not opportune, doesn't make the recruitment exercise fraudulent .. I was reading people comments on the the thread... I was like wow.. Is this Nigeria, many people has right the recruitment off... That, it will be as usual, man know man now.. As in if you are not connected to the strongest 5g network, don't even border to applying.. But story changed, seeing people testimony, I was like wow, this commendable, good move, Nigeria is getting there gradually
