1. Computer science is about programming: Yes you would do some programming but they are not based on making you become a software developer, just the concepts. If you are interested in making Softwares it's up to you to take it to the next level. In CS you learn about algorithm and complexity analysis, data structure, databases, discreet Mathematics e.t.c  2. What's is the point of doing mathematics? This question relates to the first one. Many students pick computer science because they think they would be coming here to programme and build OS like Windows 10  so why would they need maths? like in the first point, computer science is not programming Ah  and yes you do need maths in CS. And also in competitive programming, you need Math. The programs you write have to be efficient in both speed and space, and for that you need maths.3. Computer science is about MS Office Application Seriously I don't know where this is coming from...... They only go there to learn MS word Computer science is easy. no it's not! Add yours. |
