these steps worked for me, as ryt now am enjoying my Gcam

First of foremost download the Gcam app

Install the Gcam app on your device

Turn your phone off, then On it

Unlock the phone

Go to settings

Scroll down to data and storage

Click on erase

Then switch off the tekino phone

Turn it own On again

Go to your chrome browser and type jiji o. The search bar

Sell the phone there

Add money and buy a xiaomi phone, download,

install and use your wonderful Gcam.

If the gcam is not downloading,I guess the application does not not support the phone IMei number. Maybe try downloading from a different phone and share it to your own phone, if it still can't be install,then I guess is absolutely the phone error as it sometimes occur with any kind of phone.

I will advice against rooting so you won't have issues when trying to update, but have to tried installing it from your play store?

Nobody wants to tell you that your phone doesn't and cannot use G-cam because
1. Your phone's chipset is outdated, your phone maker (TECNO) are fond of using outdated chipset, chipset that have reigned and died
2. You need to enable your camera2api, the camera2api comes with the chipset, I.e if the chipset supports it, luckily some tecno phones supports it
3. The main reason why u cant get gcam on tecno phones is that each gcam is made for a specific phone, gcam made for redmi note 7 can't work on redmi note 8 or Samsung a50 they are developed for each phone, and sadly tecno (transsion) phones don't have gcam ported for them, developers mostly create gcam for well recognized phones with recent and powerful chipset, you can't build the best skyscraper in the village na, it doesn't fit

Check xda, if u no see tecno or infinix meaning that ur brand to get developers to do dat, which i am vry sure infinix and tecno no get slot on xda but u can create one, then reach out to other of ur kinds and contribute and pay a developer to develop a gcam for u all, or u sell ur phone and port to grt phones with current chip like Snapdragon 660 and above to enjoy it or p60 and above

Like there's something special about this Xiaomi you'll are hyping. Enjoyed my first mi 8 but then, regretted ever investing in note 7 and note 8. Don't know why you guys enjoy hyping a particular product or you are paid to spread this information.

Downloaded the gcam on both note 7 and 8, change settings and tweak the gcam yet the picture isn't any better to my old Samsung s7 edge. The picture taken with gcam on s7 edge is even better than the pics on those 2 phones.

Lesson learnt : Don't follow the crowd

Outdated chipset you say? I don't agree with that. The only reasonable opinion I agree with is Tecno phones not having developers who can port gcam to recent Tecno phones. And mind you, where Tecno phones are mostly used are third world countries whose users only need just the basic features of mobile
