Eddie Hearn ridiculed John Fury’s £500million demand for his son to fight Anthony Joshua in a unification fight. Joshua has directed his promoter to chase a clash with Tyson Fury after the Gypsy King dethroned Deontay Wilder in a superb performance to become the new WBC champion. John, who plays a key role in his son’s decision making, thinks a fight between Joshua and Fury should be generating over half a billion pounds. Hearn was baffled by John’s calculations and dismissed the suggestion of such an unprecedented fight purse. ‘I would never disagree with John Fury,’ Hearn told IFL TV. ‘[He said] I’m not sleeping, he’s going to ruin my life? ‘He wants half a billion for the fight? He obviously doesn’t want the fight if he wants half a billion.
