Amazingly Ghana is standing tall when it comes to advancement in technology in the western part of Africa and so is the study of tech/IT programs.

Ghana has developed so much in technology as seen in the implementation of 4GLTEnotwork, Mobile Financial Services, e-banking, and many others. This advancement, however, has affected the cyber-security landscape with cyber threats such as Hacking, Data Leakages, social engineering schemes, cyber-fraud, and SIM Box Fraud. These have become an issue of concern as reports of cyber-attacks in Ghana are on the rise especially in the area of “Website defacement”. The cyber-attacks also include ransomware attacks, e-payment threats (especially in mobile money transactions), social Media threats and many more.

Because of these, DWTA is rising to the challenge by training and producing quality experts in the field of cyber-security and computer security to address these problems in Ghana and across Africa. Cyber-Security is a technological process and practices designed to protect networks, devices, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access.  During my research of IT or computer school in Ghana teaching offer cyber-security study programs, I discovered DevWorld Tech Academy, located at Ashaley Botwe Accra.
