SEUN, Gone are really the good days of nairaland.

For a very fact; it is very pitiable that Nairaland that used to be a platform where the Average Wise and Smart Nigerians used to share profitable and genuine ideas have become a ground for online vagabond trolling, bitterness, jealousy, hatredness and maljudgment.

I have seen and witness these issues go on repeatedly over the years for a while now since year 2017 and these issues rather than get solved by your team have continued to worsen over the years.

As a Financial Agricultural Opportunist and Distributor, It is a pity that when you post something genuine about a particular opportunity here on nairaland; there are hundreds of folks always on here who have nothing tangible and positive to contribute; coming up on your threads to render your efforts futile.

These sets of people are always online to extend their Sadistic Depression, Hatredness, Bitterness and Jealousy to demote whatever GOOD any other people have to offer especially in the INVESTMENT SECTION of Nairaland.

Seun, This wouldn't have been an issue at all assuming you have got capable moderators who will be concerned with resolving issues that comes up here on Nairaland with a good sense of judgment instead of the many wrong things being done to myself and some other organizations.

Nairaland is perfect the way it is. It is the last home of free netizens, except the mods who ban insult to Islamic overlords which I totally condemn the mods for doing. We should be free to bash religions, cos they have expired.

I think pornography and scam/fraud should be eliminated as well as fake news.

All childish tantrums, and rumours and all other comments MUST stay.

If you want serious stuff, move to another site. Leave this place for us unserious people. We love it the way it is.

It generates traffic for the owners and give happiness to unserious people like us.

I have created many educative threads on here; without breaking any of the nairaland laws; only for them to be taken down for absolutely The Most Wrong Reasons.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 3:00pm On Mar 06, 2020
For one instance...

Today;

I created a thread about the participation of interested cassava farmers and investors in a Cassava Supply Chain Business which has got to do with the ONDO State Government situating an Agricultural Industrial Hub in Ore, Odigbo Local Government.

I explained vividly how myself and my partners came across this merchandize deal.

I went further to explain how we got practically engaged in joining up on this deal.

I took further steps in explaining in mathematical details how we will arrive in profits on a genuine business transaction which is opened for everyone to verify for themselves and then participate in.

However; as customary on Nairaland; as it is for Many Nigerians;

There will always be people who will come hating and hitting on you to frustrate you to become frustrated as they are.

These people only come online to expend their negative energies to infect other people with their negativities.

These sets of people came visiting my thread as usual.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 3:15pm On Mar 06, 2020
And as usual; after replying rightly to their tantrums; They went ahead to report my thread like they hatefully and normally would do.

Sadly; this is where it gets worse.

Your moderators; without verifying and confirming any details - Just Went Ahead To Remove My Post.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 3:18pm On Mar 06, 2020
Without any justification; a moderator of yours deleted the entire thread I created.

I wouldn't be writing about this now if I've not personally experienced and felt these maljudgmental attitude from your moderators.

This is what they do very often. And it is quite sad.

The Nairaland REPORT system works like the corruptible police force in Nigeria that ALWAYS Arrest the ACCUSED Simply because the ACCUSER Reported First.

Seun; I believe you obviously know that Not Every Accusation is RIGHT.

Yet, your Report System on here functions otherwise.

Many a time; I have been banned on Nairaland just because One Negative Minded Individual hit his REPORT button to get me banned.

Good judgment should begin to be served here on Nairaland.

Many of us that have been old members of Nairaland and joined this path when you started are not finding a props place to build good and quality relationships anymore.

Your moderators should start judging matters rightly by reading through threads and verifying issues before they rashly ban people and close their threads.

I will only say that, we should not need to swear to any Islamic oath before commenting on any Islamic post or we all also be made to swear to Christian oaths before being allowed to comment on every Christian posts, as it is a disregard to Christians, opening Christianity to ridicule and bashing which no unbias person should accept.

Before doing this, I should firstly give a brief introduction of myself and my brand - AfroAgroPower.

We are AfroAgro-Power; a group of individuals passionate about sensitizing and empowering other African Youth through the several opportunities latent in Agriculture.

The thread was tailored towards obtaining strategic partners to fund the opportunity of the Cassarev deal at the ONDO-LINYI Industrial Hub @ Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The ONDO-LINYI Industrial Hub was recently commissioned by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) alongside with the Incumbent Governor of Ondo State.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 3:55pm On Mar 06, 2020
We recently got a contract to be part of the supply of 150 tonnes of freshly harvested and dried cassava tubers to a biofuel company which is in unison with the Ondo State Government.

This deal came in synchronism to a cassava project deal which we got from Hollyway Global Investment Limited to supply 600 tonnes of fresh cassava to an ethanol producing company in Sagamu.

Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 3:57pm On Mar 06, 2020
We left the southern part of Nigeria, Ughelli town to be precise in view to satisfying this contract deal. We headed to Ikire, Osun State to meet with farmers in order to offset this deal.

The company was willing to pay 14,000 naira per metric tonne but it only had to be upon delivery to their company. We were able to source for a tonne of Cassava at 10,000 naira per tonne from the local farmers.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 3:58pm On Mar 06, 2020
Logistics for conveying 1 tonne of cassava was capped at 3,000 naira, ensuring we make of profit of 1,000 naira per tonne for the first 600 tonnes contract delivery.

However; most farmers needed upfront payment to get their Cassava harvested as they needed to pay their harvesters and labourers who will load the trucks. Since most companies only pay for agro commodities upon them reaching their company's site, the farmers and company could not reach an agreeable understanding of payment terms.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 3:59pm On Mar 06, 2020
We got several other similar deals for Agro Merchandise in the South-West which could notbe met because of the lack of agreement of payment terms between the rural farmers and the companies' outsourcing agents.

This was found out to be a major impediment in the procurement of Agro-commodities from the rural areas to companies' site and urban areas where they are needed.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 4:03pm On Mar 06, 2020
However; we - The AfroAgro-Power Team decided to start with our Garri Processing Enterprise.

Whilst still at Ikire, Osun State; we got information of the Cassava Revolution project through some of our APC political allies who got to know we were into Cassava Value Chain.

The Cassava Revolution Project (Cassarev) is a Cassava-Ethanol-Biofuel plant situated within theOndo-Linyin Industrial Hub for the processing of Freshly Harvested and Dried Cassava tubers. They require a daily supply of 150 Metric Tonnes to meet with their production capacity. So far, the Cassarev project in conjunction with the Ondo State Government plans to empower over 20,000 cassava farmers.

THE CASSAVA REVOLUTION PROJECT.

We bought some sample of 325 KG of Cassava tubers to ascertain the drying specification of the Biofuel company.

Since the cassava tubers are to be used for biofuel production; some needed criteria were given to us to abide by.

These are:

- The Cassava tubers must be freshly harvested.

- The Cassava tubers must not be washed.

- The Cassava tubers must be dried for a duration of 7 days so as to reduce the moisture content of the tubers to 13% moisture content level.

- The Cassava tubers must be whole (i.e not shredded or cut into pieces)
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 4:08pm On Mar 06, 2020
The cassava tubers are to be dried as a whole this way.

Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 4:09pm On Mar 06, 2020
We are taking on this project because the monetary profit is very much okay.

We will be getting 55,000 naira per tonne for the dried cassava.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 4:11pm On Mar 06, 2020
However; for now, we cannot meet up with the supply of 150 tonnes of Dried Cassava daily to the company. We intend to begin with a supply of 30 tonnes of Dried Cassava weekly to them.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 4:12pm On Mar 06, 2020
The supply of 30 tonnes of Cassava will mean:

55,000 naira × 30 = 1,650,000 naira.

This will be our Total Returns on Investment for supplying 30 Tonnes of Cassava Weekly to the Biofuel Producing Company.
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 4:15pm On Mar 06, 2020
These supplies will have to be done in batches
Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 4:19pm On Mar 06, 2020
Let Us look at our Capital Expenditure;

With our practical survey done already on the farm; we have observed that harvesting 1 tonne of freshly harvested cassava and drying it for 7 day will shrink the weight of the cassava tubers to about 300 KG. We practicalised this when we harvested 325 KG of Cassava for our Garri processing.

About 17% of the weight of the cassava tubers were lost to peeling.

Re: Seun, Gone Are The Good Old Days Of Nairaland. Pitiable How Things Are Now. by AfroAgroPower: 4:29pm On Mar 06, 2020
Since the Cassava tubers are to be dried for another 7 days; a gross amount of the weight was lost.

Cassava tubers contain 60% of water; and since we are drying the Cassava tubers to a moisture content of 13%, then we will be drying away 87% of the moisture which is an integral part of the weight of the cassava tubers.

Drying 1 Metric Tonne of Cassava tubers will reduce the Cassava tubers to about 350 KG of Shrunk and Dried Cassava Tubers.
