Around the world, are littered monuments and artefacts whose origin and creators baffle us. Structures such as the Great Pyramids of Giza, in Egypt; the Nazca Lines in Peru; Easter Island heads in the South Pacific and many more all over the globe. These structures are often of such scale and precision that they’re irreproducible by our current global society. Most of the monuments and artefacts, being inorganic, have not even been correctly dated by modern dating methods.

Quite intriguing, innit? Littered around the earth, maybe one could even be discovered underneath the foundation of your home, are monuments and artefacts that we do not know how old they are; how they were formed, and neither can we seem able to replicate them; and no proof who were their creators. Who built the Pyramids of Giza at such an interestingly scientific location, with its parameters hinting exact universal constants and laws, to such extreme precision and finishing? Ancient Negroes in Egypt 4500 years ago? Or maybe someone else? Something else even?

Littered around the globe also, are folklores of a civilization before ours that somehow vanished in a global catastrophe. The most popular of such tales is Plato’s Atlantis; a civilization that sunk into the sea, some 11,000 years ago. A similar tale is seen within the pages of the Hebrew Torah. The story of Noah and the ark. Surprisingly in other cultures, are similar tales of a world whose sins resulted in a global flood that drowned away their civilization. That of Noah and his ark feels eerily like the Epic of Gilgamesh from the Mesopotamian culture that preceded the Canaanite's.

Was there truly a global civilization driven into extinction, whose surviving monuments and artefacts filter down to us through the river of time?... Throughout history, we’ve seen empires rise & fall with the ages. The fall of the Western Roman Empire birthed the Dark Ages of Europe, which eventually birthed the Renaissance. The Sumerian civilization fell leaving seeds of merchants and persons dispersed around Mesopotamia and the Fertile Crescent to metamorphose into the Akkadian, Assyrian & Babylonian empires. How plausible is it then that a previous global civilization had fallen, and had been wiped off by nature’s wrath? Was a more advanced society flushed out from existence by a global flood?

Evidence for a global flood that happened during the last Ice Age 11,000 years ago is slowly being unearthed. A timeline coinciding with Plato’s destruction of Atlantis; a tale acknowledged by Plato to have been told by Egyptian priests and wisemen. Most likely cause of this global flood points to impacts on the ice caps; from outer space or from sufficiently large nuclear warheads. Maybe mankind may have engineered his environment so drastically, to his unbecoming. Why does it seem we recently discovered agriculture just 10,000 years ago, even though man’s cultural presence and effect on his environment is at least 30,000 years old?

Were the Great Pyramid of Giza built by ancient Egyptians without even the invention of the wheel or iron? Or by a more sophisticated culture? Were there really arks as in the tales where a ‘selected' portion of humanity was preserved to regrow in the hinterlands of the continents with much more primitive counterparts? Could these seeds of civilization from this previous society that survived create legends of Wisemen and Gods founding ours?

Maybe, just maybe as in the tales, mankind was indeed punished for her sins by nature’s wrath. A global war had resulted in a global flood. Just maybe those impacts on the ice caps in the Northern hemisphere are not from outer space as we might generally suppose. An advanced mankind had gotten so advanced yet so disunited that it wiped itself off existence with its technology. Survivors had restarted civilization again with primitive societies at the hinterlands of the continents giving birth to the legends. And maybe their only record surviving through the rigors of time unto us are these brilliant stone monuments and artefacts that defy our understanding.

Albert Einstein had once said, “I do not know what sort of weapons would be used to fight World War III, but World War IV would be fought with sticks and stones.” Are we bound by the Sisters of Fate to helplessly repeat the mistakes of those before us, for failure to learn wisdom and run a global society not based on ego, strife & competition?
