Most of the time, they end up failing on both sides. They hardly see the wealth and when the wealth comes, they spend a significant part of it fixing the failed family. It takes just one poorly trained child to ruin the wealth and reputation of an entire family. There's no better joy than succeeding on both sides. We can have it all, if we learn to do the right thing.

The most productive part of the day is spent at your job. Then some have to endure hours in traffic just to get home.
By then, the most you can do is sleep. No strength to spend time with your spouse or kids.
Many couples work on weekends too. No time for family.
That's why kids are having to spend more time at school. They go to school before 7am, close and still attend lessons till evening. All these is to provide a safe place for parents to leave their kids while they work all day.

That's why the government must do all within its power to decongest Lagos and other cities by developing the rural and other smaller urban centres. Growing up, I didn't know people work till 7-8pm. At 8pm, more than 75% of the people in the town have shut their doors and set to sleep. Only fathers stay up till 9-10pm (for NTA network news).

More companies/industries should also join the government by adopting flexible work schedules. It is wickedness to expect an individual to work every day of the week (weekends inclusive).

And for those who truly love their job more than life, the idea of raising kids shouldn't be condoned.
