I have noticed that too. But our top politicians are smarter than the virus. By now, they have locked themselves up in there mansions. They should thank Nnamdi Kanu for restricting there movement somehow before this breakout.

Your country hasn't done badly at all so far.
Remember that countries that are most affected are also trying to contain the virus in their countries by closing down entrance and exit into affected areas so they do not spread the virus. They have a valid reason to close their borders because it's become an epidermic in their country.
Nigeria has no such reason for now.
We are following every advice by infectious disease specialists /W.H.O and also disseminated such advice to the public.
Kindly follow it, share it with others and stop making ignorant comments.

I understand as well, but you can't totally rule it out. Check YouTube videos available on Pompeo utterances. He said in a meeting with either UK or Ukraine that China is a threat more than terrorism. This video is also online. When the figure was still very low in Wuhan, Pompeo said China is hiding the figure that the estimated death should be over 100k

Let me assume you are a part of the current government. Nigeria has not been exposed to the virus on the scale that the european nations have and that is the singular reason why the contact rate has been on the low. It isn't due to any imaginary preventive measures you and your so called government have taken. Like someone noted, we here in Nigeria are at the mercy of the elements. The government is just hiding under the fact that it is difficult to quantify efforts made in this regard, but we cannot be fooled. We know they have done next to nothing to tackle this scourge. I urge you to advise whomever is responsible to take action and stop wishing and hoping that the elements will come to our rescue of ever the infection rate scales up - that's assuming you have a voice though.

Hope you realise that in democratic dispensations, roughly fifty percent of the electorate view government and society as deviant and corrupt. The trick , as an enlightened or mature electorate, is not to believe this at an indoctrinated ,fanatic level. For example, supposing by some fate, your wish came true and all the service chiefs, ministers, governor and some top public servants that you believe are corrupt all caught Coronavirus and perished and honest you and your honest family members, extended family and your hand-picked men and women filled the roles vacated by the dead. The democratic dispensations would mean that even if you, Gforce2015, and your family are indeed very honest and the men and women you picked for the civil service all honest and hard-working, doing their best and achieving poverty alleviating results, roughly fifty percent of the electorate will believe that you, your family members and hand-picked public servants are all corrupt. Depending on how effectively the opposition party’s impresses on the electorate their view of your leadership, some indoctrinated electorate will be so convinced of your Party’s corruption, they may pray daily for the death of you, your family and hand-picked honest public officials.

What about small countries like Togo, Congo, bene etc, are u saying they are also doing better than those developed countries battling with it? I just think the Virus haven't got much ground in this part of the world, lets say God's favour & because most of its carriers do not have reasons to visit west Africa. Not because we have better control measures.

For me, I'm speaking to the conscience of all these our corrupt office-holder. Over the years, much has been committed to their trust but there is nothing to show for it in all sectors of our economy. I dare you to tell me if we have been doing well as a nation! Nigeria is a fail state being managed by corrupt people. We haven't enjoy the good of the land because some has decided to keep siphon the largese of our resources to them and their cronies. What a shame!
