I would prolly say Jack Nicholson because of his versatility.

I admire work of many hollywood actors but most of them all I like Al Pacino.He has delivered some of the most unpredictable performances of all time.

On a second thought i really do think pioneering actors like James Dean and the likes of Sean Penn really do deserve mentioning

Dead - Humphrey Bogart (agreed by many)

Alive - Richard Gere (very underrated in my opinion)

The usual suspects: Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson e.t.c have become too eccentric for my liking, couldn't they just be "normal" actors.
