I invested in this guys agriculture business last year.

It was to be for 5 months to cultivate corn and sell when it is dried, and I was to get my returns by October ending 2019.

Since then it has been one excuse or the other, until his number stopped going through and my messages on Whatsapp stopped delivering.

I strongly believe he blocked my number because I messaged him with a friend's number on Whatsapp and the message delivered with double ticks. After that, consequent messages stopped delivering.

we strongly believe that anyone advertising on agriculture should understand what agric means.....Before sending money to anyone ...we advice you visit the farm like some does to our farm....you dont just send your money to anyone in the name of investment......

first what is the account number you paid in ? is it a company one or individual account ?
secondly to catch him...u dont need to shout it to everyone...simplt create another profile and buy another simcard ..call him if u dont have his recent number ,,,goback to his tread here trace another thing he posted for other victims follow what he posted and demand patronising him and kindly act like a nigerian in Diaspora who resently come back to invest..that enough will boost his interest....never engage in high bargain with him , just give him your offer and and if he accept demand u will need to visit his location, either office ,home or farm....then go with security agency and aprehend him simple ...

Bro, so since all the while people have been campaigning against this agbaje guy, you didn't take note; he is a fraudster and all you just experienced is nothing but his modus operandi

As much as I agree with your second paragraph, permit me to disagree with the first paragraph, bro naija is not safe anymore... visiting his farm might be an avoidable mistake as you might be walking yourself straight into kidnappers den.
My suggestion is that if you won't be around to do it yourself, then, do not engage, unless it is a trusted and verified dealer.
My kobo thought though

I spoke with that dude sometime ago when he was reported by someone else. I'm sorry he's not a reliable person. Even if he suffered damages he doesn't have a plan to pay. I gave him ideas, contacts, people to help him get back to his feet, he didn't accept any but kept whining which made me come to the conclusion that there's something odd about the dude.

Careful sedulus. Do you know someone used my company name. Moniker to dupe people of money. I kept getting telegram messages tat I was a fraud and I was a dupe until o got angry and asked them to call. Lo and behold I wasn't a Yoruba so the names they noticed immediately didn't tally. Hence someone used m business profile, name information to dupe people. Let's pray not to have case

Yours na just small case, albeit more recent.

I was a member of a so-called Billion Naira Project Cooperative (or something), which I learned about from one Jackson right here on Nairaland. I think he used the now inactive/deactivated account "tuege."

I don't have time to go after the fellow (not Agbaje) yet. I think I got some info about him back then, from personal research.

I invested through that guy in Agbaje's cassava farm along with more than 20 others in early 2018. That's the last we saw of our money, or so it seems.

Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news. It's either you go after him, if you can, or kiss your money goodbye.

All of us and fear. I was taking a clergy to come pray over a 20 acres I bought. Along the way I saw fear on his face like he assumed I was going to kill him in the bush and use for rituals. God knows I deleted him from my heart. Let's all take it easy with the their out to get me things. No one should visit any site with less than a strong team. It's dangerous. I'm always inside thick forest on a daily and I can say it it's dangerous. But let's not be too quick to castigate ourselves. Since that day that issue has ruined a 15 years relationship I had with the clergy church

There's a thread on agnaje here with soany people donating hefty sums. Very hefty sums. I feel bad and ashamed to be in the same industry with him after voting the screenshots contributions.

Lol, my brother will you blame the clergyman? Nothing seems the same again in this country as the bag eggs have succeeded in crucifying trust and believe, the reason why in my earlier statement I quoted "only trusted dealer "

That's why we should use contracts and not head guessing. It's because much of the young men growing up have been too use to doing business on word rather than contract basis. Business with men should be properly documented. The people shouting scam up and down didn't conduct businesses how it ought to be done
