Corona Virus: Advising All Other States To Learn From Lagos by skedman(m): 10:16am On Mar 29, 2020
Lagos State has witnessed the highest case of Corona virus and been the highest internally revenue generating state yet he has not chosen to close any of it's borders ,he did not close his food market rather he has started planning for 39,000 cases when he has only 44 cases.
He has not placed any curfew but he chose to advise ,educate and monitor social gathering .
He did not force any business organisation such as Banks to close but advise them on what to do.
In summary it is evidence that the people managing Lagos State are good at what they do.
They have started considering the economic implication of the epidenmic to the state.
They have started thinking of the future .
They solicit for fund from donors rather than using thier internally generated funds.
Planning is the key words
State that depend so much on the federal government allocation are closing their borders .
They are not planning for the future but should remember that the federal government is facing challenges too.
Where will they see money to pay minimum wages if all activities are shot down.
Let all other states to start planning for the future.
